REUSE, REDUCE, RECYCLE
Our Cub Scouts have taken a step to making recycling easier for their local communities. They have teamed up with Northern Tier Solid Waste Authority and made arrangements to have a recycling trailer at the Old Arnot Museum /Schoolhouse in Bloss Township the LAST SATURDAY of each month (excluding holidays). This trailer will be manned by our Scouts to help you unload your recyclables.

Join Scouting TODAY - Call Kelly or Lorraine Thompson at 570-723-0916 for more information.  Sign-up @ any of our scheduled meetings.  It is never to late to join in on the fun!

Helping Our Community

Our Cub Scouts participated in the Scouts “Scouting For Food” program.  In November the Cub Scouts of Pack 2059  collected food donations in Arnot.  They collected 389 items.  They did not stop there once the items were delivered to the food pantry, they stayed behind to help sort ALL the items donated from surronding areas.  We thank all that made donations of food and time to such a wonderful program.

In December our Scouts adopted a Christmas Family.  Scouts will brighten the holiday season for a local family by delivering gifts and food item to them.

Our Scouts have also arranged for Recycling in Arnot with the help of Northern Tier Solid Waste Authority.  This helps both the community and the enviornment.

On July 14, 2011 the Scouts had the privilege to present this year’s “Kids Helping Kids” Charity check to Kelly Fanean, Program Director of Mansfield’s YMCA. The Scouts donation will go towards the Y’s Strong Kids Campaign.
